Privacy policy
Last updated July 2026
This policy explains how Online Nutrition Programs (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses and safeguards information when you visit this website. The short version: this is a reference site, we collect very little, and we do not sell personal information.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure records basic technical information when a page is served. That may include:
- IP address and approximate geographic region
- Browser type and version, and operating system
- Referring URL and the pages requested
- Date and time of the request
This information is used to keep the site running, diagnose faults, and understand which pages people find useful. It is not used to build a profile of you.
Information you provide
If you email us, we hold whatever you put in the email for as long as needed to deal with it. There is no account to create on this site and no newsletter to join.
Cookies and tracking
Your browser’s local storage keeps your light or dark theme choice so the site does not flip on every page load. The value contains only the theme name and is not sent with web requests.
Google Analytics measures visits, page use, device and browser information, and approximate location in aggregate. Google processes that information on our behalf.
Links to schools and other sites
Every ranked program links out to the institution’s own page, and the site links to federal and accreditor sources throughout. Those are separate organisations with their own privacy practices, which we do not control and are not responsible for. If you go on to request information from a school, whatever you send them is governed by their policy, not this one. Read it before you hand over contact details.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in three narrow circumstances:
- Service providers. Hosting and infrastructure vendors process requests on our behalf in order to serve the site.
- Legal compliance. Where disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process or a lawful governmental request.
- At your direction. If you ask us to pass something on, for instance by replying to an email thread that includes a school.
Data retention
Technical logs are kept only as long as they are useful for operating and securing the site. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to resolve the matter it concerns, or longer where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, write to help@hakia.com. We will need enough information to identify what we hold before we can act on a request.
Children’s privacy
This site is aimed at prospective and current university students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and will delete it promptly if we learn we have.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above changes with it. Material changes will be described rather than slipped in.
